WHAT INFORMATION DO YOU NEED FROM ME TO PREPARE MY TAX RETURN?
Because everyone’s situation is different, we advise you to contact us to set up a meeting so that we can develop a work program that meets your needs. For business clients we prefer that your materials are in a computer accounting program, but we have taken materials in almost every imaginable form. Call us in regard to specific business software packages for your accounting needs.

HOW SOON DO YOU NEED MY INFORMATION TO COMPLETE MY PERSONAL INCOME TAX RETURN?
Generally, the sooner the better. We ask for your information as soon after January 1st as possible. We understand that there can be delays in receiving your information but we ask that your information be in by April 1st.

WHAT ROLE DO YOU PLAY IF THE IRS AUDITS ME?
We will represent you, however, a separate engagement letter will be issued for this service. Before your scheduled audit, we will perform a thorough review of your tax return and discuss any relevant issues with you. We recommend that you retain your tax information for no less than seven years.

HOW DO YOU BILL FOR YOUR SERVICES?
Our rates depend on the level and frequency of our services. Prior to performing any service we will issue you an engagement letter stating the agreed upon services that D&F will provide and related fees for these services. We do require payment upon the completion of our services. All standard forms of payment are accepted including credit cards. In certain circumstances a retainer will be required.
